Brew

On the night of my birthday, after checking out The Night Market with a couple of friends, we made our way over to Brew, a neighborhood store that sells both coffee and beer.  They have refrigerated cases stocked with 500+ rare beers that you can buy by the bottle and walk away with a mixed six pack.

We decided to have an impromptu beer tasting that turned out to be a lot of fun.  Because it was a beautiful night, we gathered around in our friends backyard by twinkle lights and our wine glasses and each had a sample of the following (in this order):

Saison Dupont
Rodenbach Grand Cru
Ashland Amber - Oregon Brewed Amber Ale
Dead Guy Ale
Dogfish Head - 90 Minute IPA
SlyFox 113 IPA
IPA - Caldera - Oregon Brewed Amber Ale

After tasting them I probably would have rearranged the order a bit, perhaps the Dead Guy after the 90 Minute.  I favor IPAs but this tasting made me realize that I also really enjoy Ambers.  Turned out to be a great night for about $20!
